Project Overview

PTM Consultants proudly served as the lead traffic engineers for the Osterley Way upgrade, a signature intervention in Manukau's city-centre rebirth. Nestled within the unfolding vision of Auckland's Manukau Framework Plan, this project wasn't just about moving vehicles—it was about knitting together people, place, and purpose.

Guided by the principles of the Framework Plan, PTM's design elevated Osterley Way into a street that feels alive, inclusive, and intuitive for everyday users. Our traffic design struck a thoughtful balance: supporting safe and efficient movement while crafting a place that invites lingering, conversation, and connection.

  • Human-scaled traffic design that calms vehicular movement and improves crossing comfort for residents, workers, and students.
  • Layered accessibility, seamlessly linking Osterley Way with surrounding civic destinations and open spaces.
  • Collaborative, values-driven approach anchoring technical design in the wider strategy for Manukau's revitalisation and local identity.

For PTM, the Osterley Way upgrade was more than an engineering task—it was a chance to build with purpose: delivering transport solutions that reflect Manukau's evolving energy and strengthen the everyday experience of its people.
